I may still keep the concept of "Star Wars fic in which everything is going great until, unfortunately Palpatine/Order 66 happens" or I may not.

My fic for

femmeremix . By sheer coincidence, I had just found this fic a few days before assignments went out. Clearly this was A Sign. The italicised line in the summary is from the original fic and it's such a great image I had to something with it.

Demon Knights actually one of the few Anglophone canons that has a proper Merlin and the fact that he's canonically demonspawn and ages backwards in it is part of why. The bit about him not having a soul now that he's under seven is based on a sort of obscure bit of French folklore than holds the seventh birthday as when children acquire a soul.

Guess what movie I saw? Yup, it was Captain America: Civil War.

I greatly enjoyed it but WOW IT WAS INTENSE.

I saw it with a group of friends and on either side of me were a Steve/Bucky shipper and a Steve/Tony shipper, which was an interesting experience. They each walked out of the cinema with a new appreciation for each other's ship. I walked out SHIPPING ALL THE THINGS as I pretty much always do.

There is literally no ship in this movie I would be down with. Like, you know how the poster that has the team lined up on both sides starts with line-ups that make sense as ships (Steve/Tony, Nat/Sam) and get progressively more nonsensical (Wanda/Rhodey, Vision/Bucky, Clint/T'Challa)? I would read fic for every single one of those.

If there are any questions about spoilers or things you want to know or whatever, feel free to ask.

I saw the movie in 2D with French subtitles. I was also pretty much unspoiled going in.

I just saw Winter Soldier and I loved it! It was great.

I went to see it with a girl I've met once before, who is the daughter of a former roomate's of my mom's, and who is coincidentally not on the other side of the Atlantic but in Ireland this semester as well. I like her! I really like her and we're going to go to the zoo at some point in the future and I am excited (and I will buy that elephant plushie I've been wanting to buy since one of my housemates went to the zoo and bought one).

I loved it, the cinematography was awesome, there was a bunch of really cool shots, Falcon was super badass, Black Widow is THE BEST and there were appearances by characters I did not expect.

Btw, it has two credits scenes, just so you know.

We got trailers for: Gardians of the Galaxy (Gamorra is so pretty!), Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Great CGI Spider-Man! Also GWEN STACY♥), X-Men: Days of Future Past (why would you look at this storyline and think 'this could use more Wolverine'? aslo they're going to be in Paris at some point hahaha no). We also had a trailer for Giro d'Italia, because this is apparently a thing now. I feel like my brother would have enjoyed this trailer much more than me, because he's a big (big!) cycling fan and it did look kind of cool on the big screen ngl.

In conclusion: I loved it as the fact that is entry is 1.6k will attest, but HAHAHA QUÉBECOIS.

In other news! I am now a mod of

nightonficmountain (also on Livejournal and Archiveofourown). It's pretty much exactly like yuletide except: in June, all characters in approved fanomas are allowed and inactive fandoms can also be allowed! I've never modded an exchange before, it's exciting! (Also, I came up with the name. I'm quite proud of it.)
