Secret of Kells + Sleepy Hollow

I followed egelantier 's advice and watched The Secret of Kells. I'm kind of speechless, I have to admit. This movie is really really gorgeous and that goes for both the art (OMG THE ART) and the story (was I crying all over the ending? Yes I was). It's really beautifully drawn and animated and I loved all the characters. I wanted more of all of them, especially Aisling and Pangur the Cat and Brendan. Just, it's great, you should see it.

I also finished watching S1 of Sleepy Hollow. I really liked it! The screen was a bit too dark, I missed some valuable info in spots and had to go back a bit  because I was drawing and I don't know enough about US history to appreciate all the ways they play with it. (Who is Paul Revere, anyway?) I know most of the fandom ships Ichabod/Abbie, but I really like them as BFFs who would do anything for each other and I hope it stays this way. I just have a thing for very intense platonic bonds that are (one of) the most important relationships to someone. Which is also one of the reasons I like Wareghouse 13, by the way. For some reason, I kept expecting the reveal that Abbie wasn't the Witness but Jenny, but obviously that never happened. I really enjoyed Ichabod dealing with the 21rst century, because fish out of temporal water is always great. And I gotta say that was a very gutsy way to end a season and I'm with Ichabod the thing with the Golem was a jerk move.

I tend to assume that since it's named after the place, the place is important. Plus, there are all these shots of the map in the intro.
