Fannish things!

fandom_stocking ! Mine is here! I got a lot of awesome things and you should totally go look at them!

yuuago made me some icons (cats and MCU, see the one on this post),minutia_r made me a Thalia Grace and Luke Castellan (PJO) fanmix (Sigh No More) and sineala wrote me a fic where Hannibal Barca and Scipio Africanus meet Doctor Doom and Valeria Richards (for realsies. It's called Transalpine).

It's like you people know all my weaknesses! My plan for world domination is doomed.


In the same kind of idea, I'm picking up the Fandom Snowflake meme back up.




Day 2

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.


1. Recs for things (canons, fics, etc) featuring the "people on opposite sides caring about each other" trope and/or the "friendships in unlikely places" trope. Or, like, recs in general.

2. Fanwork of one my fanworks. Art of one of my fics, a remix, etc.

3. A comment on one of my posted fic or a comment about a fic of mine you wish I would post/finish/write already.


Bonus, because they are things I would love to receive, but feel awkward using a spot for since I got them sortof, for fandom_stocking:

4. Fanmixes! Recs for them, I mean, you don't have to make me one (though I ain't saying no). I tend to have a preference for either cracky mixes and/or mixes that have a strong theme and/or mixes that explain why the songs relate to the subject of the mix, but I've enjoyed all kinds of mixes. (My musical taste is all over the place too.)

5. Anything related to either Hannibal Barca or Scipio Africanus (and by extension, Carthage and the Roman Republic), be that fic or a book or a movie or something. Don't care if I've seen it already (probs haven't actually, because my Google-fu is weak).

annnnnd this is a Cass Cain dance mix

this is not really a fanmix so much as a general playlist, but all the songs go together really well and it has a really pretty and bittersweet indie feel.

this is also not really a fanmix, it's a sort of magic-themed indie music mix. if you enjoy it, the person who made it has a lot of good mixes on 8tracks.
