BEST YULETIDE EVER

dhampyresaFave RL family reunion moment from today was when everyone dropped everything to watch the chariot race from Ben Hur in remastered colour. The cat hit the remote and there Ben Hur was on the TV, so of course we watched Ben Hur. It looked seriously amazing. the dubbing was shite, but as the chariot is entirely wordless *shrugs*.
(Perennial favourite is giving gifts. I'm usually the one that has to pick up gifts and give them to whoever they're addressed to. It's awesome and I love it, which is why I'm the one doing it.)
Second fave moment was the discussion me and my brother had on Hannibal's military campaigns in Italy, which brings me to yuletide itself.
I got the most amazing gift fic and everyone should read it. EVERYONE. It is so great!

IT IS AMAZING. I'm grinning like an idiot and going "omg omg yay yay yay" every five seconds and I keep re-reading it. I don't know who the author is, but clearly they are the best.
As for me, I wrote four fics: one main assignment and three treats. I might have managed more treats if I hadn't lost all the text for one of them once I was almost done and if I hadn't been so violently sick after dinner yesterday that I didn't even manage to get back to my place. Still, I think I did okay. All the recips seem to like them, at any rate. And, uhm, if anyone guesses which fics are mine, you will win... a prize? Idk.
And now I'm off to visit more family, in the Land of No Internet (except uphill, both ways, if the wind's right. There might be snow).
