Free Comic Book Day and 2 memes

Free Comic Book Day: all the free comics were gone by the time I got there, but I did manage to find a copy of the last Red Robin TPB (Tam Fox♥! Art by Marcus To♥!). I also signed a pro-choice petition, because I may not be in Ireland for much longer, but I am pro-choice and I would have felt bad if I could have helped and hadn't. (Not that I think my signature matters all that much in the grand scheme of things, but it matters to me.)
And Now For Something Completely Different! A meme, taken from

Answer the following 10 questions based only on the stories you've posted to AO3
1) Which fandoms have you written in?
Marvel 616 (3)
DCU (Comics) (2)
Journey into Mystery (2)
Norse Religion & Lore (2)
Young Avengers (2)
Ancient History RPF (2)
Fantastic Four (Comicverse) (2)
Ancient Egyptian RPF (1)
Sundown: Whispers of Ragnarok - Sassafrass (1)
X-Factor (Comics) (1)
The Princess Curse - Merrie Haskell (1)
Spider-Man (Ultimateverse) (1)
Ancient Egyptian Religion (1)
Batgirl (Comics) (1)
Young Justice (Cartoon) (1)
Historical RPF (1)
Game of Thrones (TV) (1)
Locke & Key (1)
Kalevala - Elias Lönnrot (1)
Demon Knights (1)
Which goes to show, I pick the fandoms with the weirdest tagging architecture. I only have 19 fics posted on Ao3!
2) Your best story title and why
I love several of my fic titles (Punica Fides, Reunion of Broken Parts, Highway to Hell, The Hawk and the Bat, Strange Aeons, CSI: Harrenhal), but It think my favourite is still In Perfect Light; because of the quote it comes from: "Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light; / I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night." because not only is that a great quote in general, it's especially fitting for Stephanie-Brown-as-a-Blue-Lantern.
3) Your worst story title and why
Either 19 steps to restore someone's tolen property (because it fits the tone of neither the Kalevala nor Young Justice and is just unwieldy in general) or Training Wheels (because it's just terrible).
4) The most popular
DCU (Comics) currently has 10965 works, 3 of which are mine. (As you can see, I write in big fandoms.)
5) The rarest
It's a tie between Sundown: Whispers of Ragnarok - Sassafrass and The Princess Curse - Merrie Haskell, both of which have only one work, posted by me. (My fandoms are gigantic.)
6) The most popular
Loki currently has 17 755 works, 3 of which are mine (split: 2 for norse myth and 1 for Marvel's Kid!Loki).
7) The rarest
Excluding the characters that aren't wrangled (Reveka, Dragos, Mihas, Merit Ptah, Horsewoman and Al Jabr), it's a tie between Brenda Miller (2 fics total, one of which is mine) and Kinsey Locke (2 fics total, one of which is mine).
8) First story and latest story you posted to AO3
Shooting Stars, Norse mythology (2011-11-08)
Training Wheels, Young Avengers (2014-03-27)
9) Your top ten
Hannibal Barca (2)
Leah (Marvel) (2)
Scipio Africanus (2)
Layla Miller (2)
Victor von Doom (2)
Valeria Richards (2)
Stephanie Brown (2)
Loki (Norse Religion & Lore) (1)
America Chavez (1)
Brenda Miller (1)
Yeah.
10) How many stories have you written with no pairings/OT3/moresomes listed? What's the breakdown on your stories' ratings?
I've got 18 stories tagged as Gen, but two of these are also tagged with a pairing (because the pairing is not the focus), so 16 works are entirely pairingless.

Top 5 fics by hits
1. Strange Aeons (993 hits!)
Written for Yuletide 2012. It's a crossover between three Marvel comic books: Fantastic Four, Young Avengers and Journey into Mystery. I did not expect it to have such a big audience!
2. The Hawk and the Bat (308 hits)
Marvel Comics/DC comics crossover, written for rarewomen 2013.
3. Shooting stars (274 hits)
Norse mythology fic about Loki and Balder being friends and what that means on the edge of Ragnarok.
4. 19 steps to restore someone's stolen property (264 hits)
Written for Rare Women 2013 as a last minute pinch-hit.
5. In the end (236 hits)

Top 5 fics by kudos

2. The Hawk and the Bat (32 kudos)
Written for Rare Women 2013.
3. Fully Defined (26 kudos)
Written as a treat for yuletide 2013. It's outsider-pov gen from the pov of a minor female character. I didn't expect anyone but the recipient to read it!
4. Punica Fides (18 kudos)
Written as a treat for yuletide 2013. There are a lot more people who ship Hannibal Barca/Scipio Africanus than I thought there were. This pleases me greatly.
5. Embers (10 kudos)
My yuletide 2013 assignment!

I love that quote a lot too.
I forgot it was free comic book day! Hooray for Red Robin, even if you missed the free comics.

Date: 2014-05-04 11:50 pm (UTC)Red Robin is severely out of print, so I was quite happy to find it, especially at a discount.

Date: 2014-05-06 12:13 am (UTC)There's a quest for the Grail, Ystin is the knightiest knight to ever knight King Arthur and Merlin say so. At one point they fight Lucifer in Avalon. They fight vampires in Themyscira at another point. They all meet in an inn! One villains has "throw dragons at it" as her problem-solving method! It's essentially a great big romp full of shenanigans.
Edit to add: It's also fairly diverse: Al Jabr is a Muslim inventor, Madame Xanadu, Horsewoman and Exoristos are women, Ystin is FtM (more or less, it is set in the Middle Ages so that terminology doesn't exist), Horsewoman is paralysed from the waist down and it has nothing to do with her superpower, there are lesbian princess ruling a country.
