I recently had to get a new mp3 player, because my old one stopped working. As I was filling it with music, I put all of the musical Hamilton on there and took the opportunity to relisten to the whole thing in order while paying attention rather than "whatever comes up on shuffle while I'm out and about doing stuff". Overall, I don't think my opionion has changed much from a decade ago, ie: I enjoy it overall, Leslie Odom Jr is the best singer of the bunch (unfortunately, Lin-Manuel Miranda is the weakest), I wish the women got to do more than just Be Romantically And/Or Sexually Entangled With Hamilton, Lafayette's French accent sure is Something, Huh and slavery is a bit glossed over, innit? I do really like the artfulness of the lyrics -- the way the words work is really nice, idk.

Anyway, there's a line in Cabinet Battle #2 that goes "If we try to fight in every revolution in the world, we never stop" and HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Only having seen Hamilton with visuals, I think they distracted me from the quality of the actual singing.

Leslie Odom Jr was amazing -- especially in Room Where It Happens where I recall him dancing and singing and doing both extremely well. Randomly, I looked him up just now and found out -- shockingly -- that he looks very different with hair.

I think Miranda's appealing presence and intonation somewhat redeemed his lack of a good singing voice...but I'm very glad he wasn't in the more technically demanding role of Burr. And I wonder what Odom or Daveed Diggs would be like playing Hamilton.

I agree with every one of these opinions!

Also, while Thomas Jefferson was indeed a raging hypocrite and in many ways a horrible person, I think that the musical has decided he's the one who's officially on the hook (admittedly as a counter to a lot of hagiography), and thus practically everybody else gets to mic drop about Jefferson and strut off looking great by comparison. Which annoys me, since a lot of them were also horrible people and racists!
