Unless I'm miscounting, there are only 13 Chinese finalists in
the 2024 Hugo shortlist
. A bit over 11%. I thought there would be more.

Good point, re: ballot fuckery.
I can't say I blame the Chengdu members for not nominating -- I know I didn't bother checking if any French language media was eligible. I'm pretty sure nothing I nominated made it, lol
