Is there a word?

Is there a word for the feeling when you have an idea you're really proud of/you think is really good that you haven't seen before so you think it's new, then you see someone else do it (possibly even better than you)? There's gotta be a word, if only in German.

OH, I know this feeling...if there is a word, I don't know it. (But it would be German!)
