Good things

1. I saw the Toutankhamon touring exhibit. I loved it! I mean, I am exactly the kind of nerd who would love something like this, but I still thought it was very well done. The more I think about it, the more I realise it's the smaller everyday objects I loved the most. Yes, the statues were impressive, but there's a 3000 years old pair of linen gloves! Yes, the jewelry is magnificent (and I never noticed before, but he had pierced ears, as depicted in representations of him) but the miniature boardgame is the cutest, bestest thing! It's also a box to hold the game pieces! It's reversible! With a different game on each side! I WANT ONE.
2. After tomorrow I get back to working in the office, which means I no longer will have to commute with my laptop on my back like a digital age turtle. My shoulder will thank me. Three more commutes! I can do this.
3. Did a few art pieces with entirely free/promotional materials (notebook, pencil, ballpoint). They turned out pretty good, I think. Idk I feel like the complete lack of pressure to ~live up to the medium~ helped me relax? Pretty stressed and uncreative lately.
4.
fandomgiftbox is running again! Yay!
5. I love Taylor Swift's latest.
I think this is going to be one of those songs I get ood mental health mileage out of. (Taylor Swift is very good at those, for me, idk why.)

Date: 2019-06-18 12:36 am (UTC)I think I know what you mean about lack of pressure with medium is rather... freeing? IDK, I've had lots of fun when working with similar to what you describe. Also, crayons. xD
Are you doing fandomgiftbox this year? I'm thinkgabout it.
The TSwift song is good! First I've heard of it, but it's fun.

Date: 2019-06-18 05:56 pm (UTC)I'm not usually much of a Taylor Swift fan -- it's not dislike, more indifference? -- but I do like this particular song a lot.
