Miscellaneous further Endgame thoughts

Yeah, ultimately I don't like it. There were some good parts, but the parts I hated ruined the rest of it for me.

Wow, so the fatphobic jokes in Endgame really fucked me up, huh? Though I have managed to eat something for every meal I was awake for since, it has been A Struggle. Multiple people have commented independently that I was eating very little. Welp. Breakfast and dinner are mostly okay again now -- though it is good that they require minimal effort to prep rn -- but lunch still causes this twisting anxiety in the pit of my stomach beforehand.

My dad made an off-hand comment the other day about weight/mass loss influencing the Earth's rotation speed and now I am really curious to see if Dusting half of all living things would have any effect and if so, how much. Watch this space, I guess.

I haven't even seen the movie (I got off the Avengers train at Ultron) and I dislike it just from what I've heard. I'm so sorry it's been bad for your issues :(

I'm curious about the effect of revese dusting in general. Assuming the problem of resource scarcity Thanos mentioned has any validity at all--and the narrative evidently validates him somewhat--it looks like the problems are now back? So it's a mess either way.

Earth's estimated total biomass is approximately 550x10¹² kg of carbon. Double that (I know that's high, but that isn't going to matter much) to get 10¹³ kg. Total mass of the earth is approximately 6x10²⁴ kg -- approximately 50 billion times the very generous upper limit for the biomass. Even though the biomass is concentrated out at the surface, that isn't going to change things enough for any but the most sensitive gravity-measuring devices to detect. You may rest easy.
