Leverage is my happy show. It never fails to make me smile and a good part of it is the realtionship between the characters. (The other part is the 'sometimes bad guys are the best good guys' part.)
This will get a little spoilery, fyi.
Parker/Hardison/Eliot: I've shipped this since that scene in the elevator in the pilot, thirteen minutes into the show. I've never stopped shipping it. And the finale is doing nothing to deter me.
Parker + Hardison: I think they're adorable.
Parker + Eliot: I loved them bonding on the mountain in Season 4.
Parker + Sophie: I love Sophie mentoring Parker into being a better grifter and person.
Parker + Nate: I called it that she was going to be the mastermind after him!
Parker + Archie: I love that Archie goes from seeing her as someone he "made" to his daughter.
Parker + Amy: Amy being Parker's sidekick in The Broken Wing Job was great.
Parker + Tara: Tara is like Parker's big sister. No medium hurts Parker.
Parker + Maggie: I love the way Parker takes care of Maggie, how she's proud of how honest Maggie is.
Parker + Sterling: I like how baffled she makes him.
Hardison + Eliot: "Dammit Hardison!", need I say more?
Hardison + Sophie: They don't interact all that much, but I like it when they do.
Hardison + Nate: My favourite exchange between the two is the one where Hardison goes: "Super-skrull, who has the combined powers of the fantastic four, one of whom is not Itzhak Perlman, by the way.".
Hardison + Trevor Dawson: Trevor's the kid from the Hot Potato Job. My headcanon is that Hardison is teaching him to be a hacker.
Hardison + Chaos: They're hilarious together.
Eliot + Sophie: "That's an odd thing for you to know." / "That's an odd place for you to be."
Eliot + Nate: I like Eliot cooking for Nate and having none of Nate's shit.
Eliot + Tara: I like their camaraderie.
Sophie + Nate: I like the push-and-pull and the bickering.
Sophie + Tara: They go out for drinks and grift regularly and Tara calls Sophie for help with the team.
Sophie + Maggie: They're friends! And not fighting over Nate, it's great.
Nate + Sterling: I like the respect, despite the antagonism.
Sophie/Nate/Sterling: I ship it.
Maggie/Sterling: I ship it! He's awfully considerate of her in the Season 1 finale.
Quinn + Chaos: It's like Eliot + Hardison, only angrier and with more threats of bodily harm.
Chaos + Archie: Archie takes no shit from Chaos and teaches things to the new generation.
Archie + Hardison: See above re: teaching things (about cake, even).
I also love a lot of the other characters, like Liam and Liam's brother ("So, what, it goes holy ground, mm, the basement, holy ground?"), Nate being protective of Cora, Nate and his friend from the seminary, Eliot and Mikel Dayan and the fights they fight by subtle pose shifts, The Italian and her relationship with Moreau, Bonanno's friendship with the team, the Boston lesbian cop and her freindship with Sophie, the team banding together to help McSweeten, McSweeten and his partnership with Taggert, Eliot's buddy Shelly and him bonding with Bonanno over the team's weirdness, Eliot teaching Molly how to win at carnivales, Sterling risking everything to get his daughter back... I love all of it, really.
This show is so good at making you care about characters and their relationships, it's amazing.

Date: 2014-02-01 02:34 pm (UTC)I think I may have to give Leverage another try at some point as so many people I know love it.
Unfortunately when Leverage started, I'd already been watching Hustle, a BBC series about conmen for several years (one of the stars is Jaime Murray who plays H. G. Wells in WH13) and Leverage just seemed like a pale imitation so I never really gave it a chance.

Thanks for the kind offer but I'm one of those people who has to watch things in order so when I get the time to do so I'll start with the first episode.
