For the first time in ages I have managed to write more than 500 words in a day and I liked it. That's honestly a huge relief. I'm not saying the words are all good words or story words, but I don't give a fuck.

I mean, I hadn't stopped writing, not entirely, but I managed maybe 100 words and even on the rare cases I wrote more, I still hated the writing of it. (Yeah, I am one of those people who -- when I have feelings -- enjoys the actual act of writing and not just 'having written', if that makes sense.)

What helped today was the trick (originally from [personal profile] sholio's post, found via [personal profile] yhlee's post) to write a blurb/back-cover summary and use that as the outline.

Also I saw the series finale for Star Wars Rebels and SPOILERS Rex gets to see the end of the Empire! Gregor though ;_; CAN I SHIP AHSOKA/SABINE YET?! Lol Zeb/Kallus going to see Zeb's family. (As canon as that's gonna get, lol.) Hera's son's design was awful. I love Sabine's new hair, though. I don't like Pryce but I kind of respect her for going down with the ship, as it were. Looking forward to Thrawn being a magnificent bastard in future. Tbh although I don't give a fuck about Ezra, I really want Sabine/Ahsoka adventures! /SPOILERS

Oh, also I got my Prismacolors from the deep discount a while back and after a very enjoyable hour where I sorted them by numerical order while listening to Critical Role, I have for the past two weeks or so been using one a day to colour my daily sketches. Having a semi-random colour every day forces me to draw stuff I might to usually have, so that's good. The order is semi-random because the numerical codes shuffled the colours; the box originally came with the pencils sorted by colours.

Hmm, the blurb trick sounds interesting. I might need to try that.

Glad to hear the Prismas are working out for you.

Ohh, I love doing blurbs! I almost always do one for really long stuff. They help rein me in when things start to get off the rails and I need a reminder about what I intended to accomplish. xD I also like practicing queries for reasons unknown. lol They're really helpful as guides, making AO3 summaries easier, and brainstorming.

Here's one of mine:
On the fateful night of the Titanic’s surmise, Downton lost its heir and Mary gained a brief window of freedom, a time she extended by brandishing the mark of souls upon her wrist. It is the twin mark that links her to her soulmate, the one person linked to her by fate and destiny. She has no intentions of finding or marrying her soul mate, the stain on her wrist a burden more than anything. Yet by wailing loud enough to portray the grieving widow who clung to fate’s mercy, the opportunity to postpone another marriage has arisen. Suitors, however, remain undeterred, and arrive in droves to win her hand and Downton Abbey.

Then war comes to Europe, the military is deployed, and across England the mark of souls belonging to unmatched pupils begin to burn in red hot fury as the death roll rises. Then the inexplicable happens—Mary’s mark begins to burn, too. She cannot explain nor fathom the protective instinct that flares in her, the mystery of her soul mate’s suffering and fate troubling her. With unwanted suitors and a perilous future for herself and her soul mate before her, she makes a snap judgement and follows the seething burn into the horrors of war. Masquerading as a man, she enlists and joins a regiment led by the bewildering and charming Captain Matthew Crawley. Her mark of souls burns, yet she cannot help but feel drawn to Captain Crawley, who, of course, believes her to be the frail recruit who cheated on the health exam—true, but not for the reason he suspects.

Ugh, I am dead, that finale was so GOOD! I spent the whole time freaked out that they would Rogue One it and kill everyone.

I'm still a little sad that we never got Cassian or the Battle of Scarif from their POV or Shara Bey after she and Kes Dameron joined the Rebellion and they left about six months after the Battle of Endor so an appearance in the new series is doubtful

You can actually SEE Rex in Return of the Jedi! Filoni made sure Rex' appearance would match the older guy that you can spot in the scene where they're trying to get the shield generator door open.

I'm definitely shipping Zeb/Kallus but all the mentions like your's is making me want to ship Sabine/Ahsoka, too. I love her hair. Basically, anything purple...I'm going to love it anyway. I told my mom I wanted my hair different and she got this freaked out look like I meant like Sabine but I think I'd only do that if I could have the color and everything. I want their series IMMEDIATELY!!!

I'm sad that everyone says the new series will be on the streaming service. I haven't subscribed to any of them yet but Ahsoka is my weakness...

Jacen...first of all, you named him JACEN!!??? Jacen, in the old continuity, was Han and Leia's son that went to the Dark Side and was an utter asshole.
Part of me is like...Jacen would be around Poe's age...I think I ship Poe/Jacen now...but then, I'm also like...he'd be the right age for being at Luke's school when ALL THE SHIT WENT DOWN!!!
And I don't want that at all...maybe he could be like his dad and conveniently away when a Skywalker decides to close the Jedi school permanently...

I like the green hair and blue eyes. I think he could grow on me, the main thing to me is...
A human and Twi'lek can procreate successfully? Does this work with other species? Could humans successfully mate with Wookies, Mon Calamari, Sullustans, etc?

We all thought nothing could top the Force having an area outside of time and space where the past and future could be changed but I almost think the possibility of Wookie hybrids tops that...

I hadn't thought about Thrawn still being alive...

But now, it's also like...what are these people doing during Episode 7,8,9 that they're not showing up?
It feels kind of like Agents of SHIELD where they're awesome on television but when it comes to the films, everyone pretends they basically don't exist...except for Rogue One and the Return of the Jedi cameo.

Who took care of Jacen when Hera was Rebelling? Because I never thought of the Rebel Base as infant friendly, even Shara and Kes left Poe behind with her dad.
