I suspect that might be it. I dislike when people tag this kind of AU with the canon the one element of worldbuilding is borrowed from.
I have not read thos books! Thank you for the rec. They sound interesting, but I have to admit I'm leery of "falsely accused of rape" plotlines: how is it handled and how prevalent is it?
