You're right that it doesn't have to be an AU! I was just thinking of Eurovision fics in general, but they would have to be AUs for the vast majority of fandoms. I wonder if Eurovision banned Doombots from competing? And how Doom reacts to winning/losing... It could be a very interesting fic, for sure!
