Riordan is a total Loki fanboy, or Tom Hiddleston, which almost amounts to the same thing nowadays.
Er, no. Or at least I hope not, or else I'd have to hand in my #1 Loki Fan card. (I've nothing against Hiddleston, but I don't like conflating actor and character, marvel!Loki is pretty far from myth!Loki and MCU!Loki isn't even my favourite Marvel!Loki.)
So I'm going to hope that Riordan draws from the myths and not from Marvel, because that were my fannish heart truly lies, Loki-wise.
