(I suspect I was not as stealthy an author as I could have been.) Emailing me to say, "but you don't have a fic! I shall write you a fic," is kind of on the opposite end of that spectrum, yeah!
I would say I have learned my lesson, and in future I will send myself out as a pinch hit instead of leaving it to the sense of righteousness of my co-mod, but I'm happy with my fic, so... I don't entirely see the downside here. :P
