dhampyresaNon-spoilery version: I enjoyed it. The creepier TMA gets, the more I enjoy it. Tim's arc was great.
The Mechanisms (JonnyD'Ville "not fictional" Sims' extinct band) have a song, Gunpowder Tim vs. The Moon Kaiser which contains the line "while Tim was busy being mortal. Like an idiot". That line got stuck in my head early on while listening to this season. (Back in September 2020. #SAVETIM2020)
Which, in addition to realising Tim was my fave, means I was completely unsurprised when he died. Just sad. (My fave always dies! But I guess there's no body this time so why not pretend he lived on to go fight the Moon Kaiser later.What Fear is the Moon Kaiser?)
Speaking of The Mechanisms, The Bifrost Incident features this exchange "Killing me will not save your world."/"I don't care." STRONG TIM V NIKOLA VIBES
Ok, misc thoughts, collated mostly from my liveblog to friends, in rough chronological order:

A guest for Mr Spider: the idea that what you considered The Source of All Evil (here, Leitner) is just some dude is... something I'm gonna be chewing on for a while, I think
ELias is such a creep and I probably shouldn't be shipping ELias/Melanie but idc i do anyway
In TMA-verse, the Fae (and especially changelings) are 100000% emanations of The Stranger.
There was an episode that basically went
Not saying Elias murdered Gertrude for fucking with his spreadsheets but Elias *totally* murdered Gertrude for fucking with his spreadsheets
Daisy: did you kill anyone?
Jon: no!!!
Daisy: ...would you like to?
Jon using his powers on Elias in a kinky way has better be A Thing in fandom or else I will be so fucking disappointed. (The fandom has also better go full xeno, just saying.)
Jon being "am i even human" felt a bit... that escalated quickly
The sheer mediocre white man confidence of Jon going "of course he hired me from a completely different job to put me in charge". Like. Goddamn, my man.
At least Jon got powers out of his trauma. Tim just got all he scars. Sasha got out while the going was good, huh

I love goblin grandpa Simon Fairchild. He seems chill. Everyone's like MUST END WORLD and Simon is content messing with some divers (both sea and sky) and living his best life. I know tma is gonna end tragically but tbh as long as Simon lives to troll another day idc

Gerard notWay: The Slaughter, the Desolation, the Hunt and the Flesh are all COMPLETELY DIFFERENT things
Also Gerard notWay: Yeah puppets and spiders are the same thing
Ok I just realised that Gerard notWay using dark blue and skyblue as examples of colours that are the same in his explanation of the fear entities is HILARIOUS because on Russian they are different colours.
Robert Smirke: FUCK BUGS but fuck spiders specifically
Ngl it would be super interesting to see how various cultures structure the fears. (Planning something about this? Me? Why it's like my reputation for getting over invested in wordlbuilding details precedes me!)
