This post brought to you by Sesame Street's Count.

1. Maurice Leblanc's works, including the Lupin series, are in the public domain, which means you can find them free online in such places as Wikisource (Français, English), Project Gutenberg (various languages) or Bouquineux (Français). I'm sure other places also have them!

I read the books in French as a kid so cannot speak for any specific translations. My favourite is L'aiguille creuse (The Hollow Needle) but I would reccomend starting with Arsène Lupin gentleman-cambrioleur (The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsene Lupin, Gentleman Burglar) for full effect -- it also includes Arsène Lupin's first meeting with Sherlock Holmes Herlock Sholmès.

2. [community profile] halfamoon revealed this year's prompts. Here are the ones for artists:
01. Icons 02. Moodboards 03. Traditional Sketches 04. Full Color 05. Covers/Posters
06. Multiple People 07. Busts/Profiles 08. Abstract 09. Hyper-realism 10. Surrealism
11. Color Themes 12. Gifs 13. Comics 14. Scene Redraw/Remix 15. AMNESTY
And suddenly it is as though I have never read or seen anything with female characters ever! Which obviously puts a damper on 'try drawing something for each prompt/day', lol.

Help?

Aww. I did not want to make stress for anyone! If other prompts that are not art inspire you to make art, please feel free to use!

I haven't read the stories in years but I'm 2 episodes into the TV show and I'm very motivated to read them again!

Thank you! I've downloaded Arsène Lupin gentleman-cambrioleur. :D I've been vaguely meaning to read some Lupin for a while, but hadn't gotten around to it.

After that, would you recommend reading them in a particular order (publication order?), or do they work to just read scattershot by whim after gentleman-cambrioleur?

I've just finished watching the modern adaptation on Netflix, and absolutely adored it, so I'm definitely going to try and read the original Lupin series. Knowing it's available free online definitely pushes it up my list!
