dhampyresaI made the apparently colossal mistake of leaving the country some weeks ago, given that I have been sick pretty much ever since. Did you know you can have all non-eye holes in your face blocked up at the same time? This has... very much interfered with my "becoming a cat caretaker" plans, sadly.
I have occupied my time by watching The Strain (TV) which I picked up because of course I'm going to watch Guillermo del Toro does vampires-as-biological-plague. Being sick has basically shut down all my critical skills so I have basically been enjoying it on the level of "lololololol she molotoved him IN THE FACE" or "gross. me likey" or "yasssssssss yeet the asshole down the elevator shaft!" or "HAAAAAAAAAAA! damn that was a good jump scare" or "told you she had scurvy!" (i like to backseat diagnose, ok). I have about half a season left but now I am starting to have thoughts about like pacing and worldbuilding and whatnot (so i guess i'm not sick anymore) and okay probably I would not have enjoyed this as much had I not watched while sick? But also I miss enjoying things on such a basic level. Idk it's been a long time since I just enjoyed something without any overthinking.
I have also finished a first draft of a 25pages or so comic, now to like check pacing and stuff, which I have no idea how to do. OH WELL.
