worldbuildingex was Rise, children of the lost (Critical Role, Keyleth centric canon divergent AU). I realised way too late in the writing process that I had brushed too close to a DNW so I went back and edited it out, but as a result the fic feels kind of hollow, but OH WELL. I'd rather gift someone something bland and innoffensive than something that is neither.
Being sick most/all weekend means I spend a lot of time in bed. In an attempt to not go fall face first in The Existential Rabbithole, I read some manga, including finally finishing reading Claymore. It was fine? The ending felt a bit rushed and also I expected something way more body horror-y from all the fuss about what Claymore bodies looked like. (Also, did not work, went down Existential Rabbithole, and then had shitty, freaky dream about being outed to my family and literally thrown out of my grandparents' house -- and metaphorically out of both it and my parents' house. A dream that for some reason happened entirely in English, which only served to made me feel more alienated when I woke up.)
