I didn't get to go swimming today. I dragged myself to the pool in the cold and rain uphill both ways etc only to find it was closed because Reasons. :|

I went to Angoulême for the international comics festival. Like every year since I started going lo these many years ago, I took a morning train in and an evening train out and came back with an unreasonable amount of comics (this year, 13). This year was pretty special though, among other things because I got to see the Batmobile.

But enough about me.

There's about a day/24h left to sign up for worldbuildingex. It's great fun!

The new trailer for the Netflix adaptation of The Umbrella Academy looks great! (Is this the point where I confess that when I first read the comics I had no idea the writer was Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance? Literally picked up the book because I thought the art looked like Mike Mignola's in Hellboy. The artist is Gabriel Ba, btw. Enjoyed the comic at the time although I think I read book 2 first and so was mighty confused. Might do a reread soon.)
