Reading Wednesday
Jan. 22nd, 2014 10:16 pmWhat did you finish
My Heart's Desire by Kate Silver: I liked it. It had cross-dressing Musketeers and a revenge plot. I love Miriame's no non-sense attitude.
Thérèse Dragon: It's a BD. I don't know how to feel about it. On the one hand, it's very confusing (she's insane? Or possibly not? Or something), on the other hand, it introduced me to Thérèse Figueur, who is a badass that was, among other things, a Dragon (not the fire-breathing kind) in Napoleon's army.

A Free Man of Color by Barbara Hambly: I feel like I'm reading this too slowly to get into it, but if I don't I get tripped up by the French. I can understand the French, that's not the problem. The problem is that I'll be reading and then stop and go, "wait, January has a squiggly in it and that name didn't have a squiggly, so who...? Oh, Janvier, yeah okay, that makes sense."
What are you going to read next
I don't know yet. Maybe Kameron Hurley's God's War?
