So I have been through Some Bullshit since the year started*, and apparently these days I cope with stuff by daydreaming/planning to build furniture with ever increasing details. In this case, I got though: chairs (a set of four), a cat tree, book case(s), a scratch post, a TV bench, a light table and a caket/jewelry box as a gift for a friend.

* I'm fine. It's about as over as gonna get and I have shiny new trust issues to show for it, but whatevs, it's not like I wasn't already a paranoid little monsterfucker anyway


I have also been listening to MCR's entire discography. I keep getting the chorus of Kill all your friends ('Cause we all wanna party when the funeral ends / And we all get together when we bury our friends) stuck in my head.

Given that it's 2019, Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys is on at least once a day. Planetary (GO!) is basically on repeat. Because Fuck You, that's why.

Any specific questions? What kind of jewelry do you daydream about?

I daydream mostly about crow and raven jewellery which is very difficult to find in forms I love. Too much of it ends up looking like a Third Reich symbol and the rest of it tends to crow skulls rather than crows.

What kind of furniture do you have in mind and for what purpose?

That sounds amazing! (Er, not the Third Reich part, the rest of it.) I wish i could see it.

Right now I most want a drawer box to put pensils in. I bought a 150pencils box of Prismacolours at HUGE discount (like -75%) a while back but the bow they came in is a shite format. So I want to Fix That, by making a new box, with drawers.

I had no idea those were a thing! They are lovely.

They really and many of them have hidden compartments. You can sometimes find them pretty cheap at flea markets/lower end antiques places.

Music is wonderful for transporting us when we're feeling awful, and it doesn't take any energy to enjoy it, which makes it even better.

I've lost track of how many times I've mentally redesigned and redecorated my flat when I'm stressed - although I wait til I'm calmer before I knock a wall down, just in case ;)
