Two feminist songs

Provided as proof of life.

1. Fire drills by Dessa

Favourite bit: "Tell Patient Zero he can have his rib back"

2. labour by Paris Paloma

Favourite bit: towards the end, when "it's not an act of love if you make her" overlaps with "the silence haunts our bedchamber" because that is chilling

I am so so glad I did the single covid-riskiest thing I'd done in a while and saw Dessa live last year. The encore was "Fire Drills" and let me tell you ending the night with the entire club singing along to that is amazing.
corvidology: Ophelia and goldfish (Default)

That's also my favourite line in Fire Drills!
sheliak: Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, playing the harp. (wanda: harp)
