(I do not want pictures of me on the internet, much less ones where I am identifiable and absolutely not ones where I am identified.)

The Fanlore thing just baffles me, and I have no idea why they're digging their heels in about this. (And people keep making unhelpful comparisons to photos of people in newspapers — but as someone who used to work for a newspaper, if we included photos of people in our articles, we had to get the explicit consent of everyone photographed, or the parents' consent if it was a photo of a child, apart from things like stock photos of politicians or public figures.)
