When I was a young boy...

So today wasn't a great day and I basically did fuckall except listen to the 10th anniversary album of My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade, The Black Parade/Living With Ghosts, on repeat. And then it was basically just "Welcome to the Black Parade" on repeat.

Listen, I hear those opening notes and suddenly I'm back in time -- not that ten years ago was necessarily a good time for me to be, but it was ten years ago and I'm still here, so that's something.

I understand you completely. That song is burnt into my brain also.

I think it was the trailer for Captain America: Civil War where the music started on the same note, and every time I watched it I was just imagining Steve Rogers swaggering around to Welcome to the Black Parade (which would make strange material for a fanvid, I guess).

I have a theory that everyone who was a teenager when that song came out unknowingly has perfect pitch, as we can all recognise it from the first note. =P

I've always meant to learn to vid... Maybe I shall consider this as a hilarious experimental project. Although Black Parade is ilke five minutes, and I should probably find a shorter song for my first vid.

(Here is the trailer I'm thinking of, for the record. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKrVegVI0Us )

I'm sorry to hear it was a bad day, but that is indeed a great song.

Fingers crossed for a better day today!

Isn't it so great! And the video is very... #aesthetic, if you know what I mean.

Thank you!
