Did he kill her? I knew he hurt her to take her part of the Phoenix Force, but I didn't think she died. That was really creepy though, the way that scene was drawn/written made it seem weirdly rape-y to me.

You're right, he doesn't kill her, he just strangles her. That scene definitely had some rape-y overtones for me too.
