Oh boy, I remember that from selling plasma when I was thirty and super broke and they sure DO NOT warm that stuff back up before putting it back in!

Platelets takes longer than plasma on account of needing to spin the blood multiple times and one day I will not finish under a duvet, but it was not that day.

If you've never given blood products before, I would not reccomend starting with platelets, as it takes much longer and uses a bigger needle than total blood does. Qualifications for platelet vs whole blood might be different as well -- for a couble years I was ineligible for platelets but eligible for total blood.
