Yeah. Possible reasons, in ascending order of sadness:
1) Less interest now the excitement of having it in Chengdu has passed, and/or forgetting they're eligible to nominate this year too.
2) Lower hopes of Chinese works winning, assuming they'll be drowned out by Western votes from Glasgow attendees.
3) Expectation that maybe Chinese votes will just get ditched this year too.
