Ñ

I seem to be having story ideas again. On the other hand, they all seem to be for fucked-up Critical Role femslash fic -- that's a very specific niche, brain.

I've been trouble wanting to do things lately, so when it occurred to me that what I wanted to do this week-end was spend time with friends, I was like "yay!". Alas, twas not to be. Everyone is unavailable. Of course. Given that I keep getting hot water instead of tea at the drink machine at work, I don't know what I expected.

Also, ñ so there >:[
monksandbones: A detail of a medieval manuscript illustration featuring two singing monks, one in a red cowl and one in a pink one (even more inappropriate monk love)

*curious* Is the ñ a reference to that baby's name the French government was reported in the media as disallowing? Or something else?

I don't pretend to be especially knowledgeable about French history/politics, but the decision about that baby's name just seems petty and mean...not to mention a gratuitous slap in the faces of the people from the region who speak Breton.

Mmm, I figured that either your or your family/friends were Breton-speaking, given your strong feelings about it. I've known for a long time about the intolerance France has with regard to loanwords and such entering the French language, but I wasn't previously aware of intolerance directed at minority languages/dialects originating *within* France. Has this attitude been getting worse over the years, do you think?
