Yeah, I never could quite put my finger on why Kameron Hurley's online persona rubbed me the wrong way quite so much, but now you've articulated it for me: I'd been suspecting for a while that Hurley was more interested in her Tough Feminist persona than in either actual feminism or good writing and that sealed it.

Of course it doesn't help that the one book of hers I managed to finish (God's War, I think) I found pretty incoherent.
