I think I read the Abhorsen series at the exact right time in my life, but I loved it (especially Sabriel) so very very dearly at the time. I have to admit I've not looked at any reviews, because I want to go into the book cold.

I've read one UKL book, iirc, but it was such a long time ago that it was in French, so. I've also read at leats two short stories by her, the immortality/diamonds one and The Ones who Walk Away from omelas. Have not worked up the courage to read LHoD yet.
