CRIMSON ANGEL OMG. But yeah, I also did not see the medical ethics issue coming. I actually really liked the way it was presented; I felt like the narrative didn't come down for one side or the other (I mean, yes, Ben made his choice, but I felt like it wasn't portrayed as the 'right' choice. Or the wrong one! It was just his, based on his personality and background, and someone could have made the opposite choice just as well). There were actually a lot of difficult, maybe unanswerable moral questions in the book, and the way they played out was really interesting.
