For the past couple of days, my back has really hurt, to the point that when I get home after work and my commute, I have to lie down and try very hard not to throw up. Figured out what was causing it: new indoors shoes with no arch support fucked up my gait, which fucked with my back. I didn't think I walked enough with the shoes for it to matter, but apparently so.

I went back to my old indoors shoes for now. They're sandals, which I am currently wearing with socks, because it is hella cold. Hence the entry title.

I still need to comment on the stuff I got for fandom_stocking and I have a bunch of stuff to also get back to people on, but at least now I can breathe painlessly. This week-end, then!

Sympathy on the shoes. I've had that happen before, so... Yeah. I also found out a few years back that I can't walk barefoot for more than a short distance without messing up my back. Walking barefoot is an option I'd like to have, but the pain is so not worth it.

I have several people in my falily who see a foot doctor, so maybe I'm more sensitive than most people.

I have always run around the house barefoot... or in cold weather just in socks. The physiotherapist who treated my slipped disc last year told me I should start wearing slippers and not just any slippers without proper support but properly constructed ones. I'm amazed at how much difference it's made for my feet (another sore *ahem* subject) considering how little time I spend wearing them.
