Yay, Stargate SG-1! Sam Carter is also my favorite, and if I'd discovered her at the right impressionable age instead of Lord of the Rings (I grew up without a TV, so around when SG-1 started airing, I was in the process of becoming intensely fannish about Tolkien) I might have ended up an astrophysicist instead of a medievalist...

I'm considering a Stargate rewatch right now, actually.
